Samsung Galaxy A5 2016

Every year, Samsung releases a new line of mobile phones to cater for the mass consumer market. Usually, they put on names that are different from what they’ve already released, but if a product is so damn good, why not retain the same name and put in the manufacturing date beside it, right?

That is what they did with the Samsung Galaxy A5 2016. This mobile phone is akin to that of the Samsung Galaxy S6 only with midrange specifications, a slightly lower camera, and a bigger battery life.

The construction of the Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 is pretty much like the flagship model. It sports a metallic unibody construction that absolutely looks and feels premium.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 does have a little bit of heft and thickness to it but it is actually a good thing since the added thickness kind of counteracts with the rear camera’s protrusion.

Samsung has mastered the art of the AMOLED display and the Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 comes with it. It has a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080p that is capable of producing vibrant colors and it has great color saturation as well. Although viewing angles may not be on par with IPS panel displays, the vibrancy of the display thanks to the Super AMOLED screen makes the Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 a good media device.

From a performance standpoint, the Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 comes in 2 flavors: one with the Exynos octa-core processor and one with the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. We will talk about the Qualcomm processor since it is the most common one found in the market.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 is powered by the Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor which has clock speeds of 1.5GHz and it is also backed by the Adreno 405 GPU and a respectable 2GB of RAM.

Using this mobile phone for daily use and even while gaming presents no problem at all. Everything you do with the phone remains fluid no matter how many apps you open at a time, although, I would still limit the apps I run in the background so as to save some battery life.

Speaking of battery life, the Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 is fitted with a 2,900 MaH battery that should last you throughout the day.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 comes with some pretty average cameras. It comes with a 13-megapixel rear snapper with optical image stabilization and a 5-megapixel front camera.

Although the rear camera can capture high-quality images, it does suffer from photo noise when you plan on taking pictures in low-lit environments.

It is to be expected since the Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 come with a more budget-friendly price tag.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 has 4G LTE connectivity like all other new offerings from the company. I don’t know about you, but I would get a mobile phone signal booster just to make sure that I won’t have any problems with mobile phone signal reception.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 has a premium construction, pretty impressive midrange specs, a crisp display, and 4G LTE connectivity. This is by far one of the best midrange phones of 2016.
